Safeguarding at King's Church

Here at King's Church, we are committed to maintaining a safe environment where children and adults with care and support needs are protected, valued, and supported. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and we will follow best practice and legal guidance to ensure the well-being of all.

Our Safeguarding Policy

We Commit to:

  • Prevent harm and abuse in all its forms.
  • Safeguard all children, young people and adults in our care.
  • Follow all safeguarding laws and guidance.
  • Have policies and procedures in place that value and respect the rights of all.
  • Make sure our workers follow our agreed ways of working.
  • Take appropriate care when choosing and appointing the people who work for us.
  • Support, train, and equip those who work for us to do so safely.
  • Empower those we work with to tell us if they are experiencing harm.
  • Support anyone in our organisation who is affected by abuse.
  • Contact the police if any allegation are made that suggest a criminal offence may have been committed.

Vision and Collaboration

  • Work with the leadership team to discern and implement God’s vision for the church and its community.
  • Support the leadership in aligning church ministries with its mission and values.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and initiatives for church growth and outreach.

Preaching and Teaching

  • Preach and teach biblically sound, Spirit-led messages that inspire spiritual growth.
  • Support the development and delivery of discipleship courses and small group content.
  • Foster theological depth and practical application in teaching.
