Kevin and Anne-Marie arrived at King's Church in January. Kevin became a Christian in his late teens, and soon attended Mattersey Bible College, where he met Anne-Marie. They married in the Bible School Chapel, a few days after finishing their courses. Kevin and Anne-Marie, first served in Macclesfield, where Kevin worked in a local mill, and as Assistant Pastor at Calvary Church AOG. It was here that their first two children were born. Kevin then took on a church planting roll with the Home Missions Department and the family moved to Ellesmere port. Here he worked as a Post man and van driver whilst seeking to plant a new church. After three years the small work in Little Sutton amalgamated with another in the Center of Ellesmere port, and the Ellesmere Port Pastor took over the work. During a time of seeking God's will in prayer we were led to join the Methodist Church, firstly as a Local Preacher and then as a Minister in training. It was in Ellesmere port that Anne-Marie had 3 further children.
I retrained at Hartley Victoria College and Manchester University, being stationed initially to Radcliffe, then to Jersey for 6 years, after this serving in Banks and Hesketh Bank for 10 years. During this time I took a second Masters degree in Leadership renewal and mission, at Cliff College. Anne-Marie also trained as a TA, whilst in Radcliffe working in School in Jersey, and in Banks became an Administrations Manager. Our last position with the Methodist Church, before coming to the Free Methodist Church was in Gornal, Near Wolverhampton, in the West Midlands. I have come to understand that "for everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under haven." My season of service had come to a close in the Methodist Church with the move away from Evangelical faith, that is now so prominent across the UK. Under God's guidance we find ourselves wonderfully though for us unexpectedly welcomed in the Free Methodist Fold. Where I an looking forwards to serving with an Evangelical and Charismatic emphasis.
Outside of Church life, but not outside of faith, I enjoy, Wigan Rugby, Fly Fishing, walking, travel and family, though there is never enough time to do everything.
